February DDD Challenge

I love, love, love the image that Carol sent us this month. Just look at the happy couple, its makes you smile with joy. This is a Mo Manning Digital Image of Young love. I love the card so much, did I say that twice.
We received such goodies in our package: ribbon, Mark Richards Crystal Hearts, K & Co. felt flowers, recolletion pearls, and ribbon flowers. However, I have enough for a second card, which I will make later.

Punch Class

I took a Punch Art Class at Creative Cuts and Crafts in Elmhurst. I hate to admit it, but I had a great time.  The first one (picture is a little blur which is my favorite is the Chicken.  I love the feet, which was made using a snowflake punch, and the beak  from the tip of a flower.

The second one is a puppy, using a Heart Punch for the face and ears.

The third one, the Leprachurn, made using a small tag punch for the hat. and for the black band a word punch

The Fourth:  Pot of Gold the gold using a 1/4 of a scalloped circle and a hole punch for the moneu

The Rabbit:  An oval punch for the ears, isn’t he cute:

More punches were used but I had to tell you how something so simple created these four tags.

The Little Things

The challenge created by Hostess Muse Melina and I agreed, because this challenge is the greatest for the DDD.
When Melina approached me, the first thought that came to my mind: Whoa, I need to build something in Miniature Scale on a card. Of course, Linda had to put my thought process into perspective.
I selected for our group the Vegetable Coutoure Set by Lockhart Stamps. Aren’t these small images a Vegetable Delight? What shall I select for my card, should it be leeks, tomato/greens, or bowtie pasta/peas. I hope you like our images and the creativity of the DDD.

Dueling Darling Challenge

The DDD challenge is a hoot.  I love it. Our Challenge “What Not To Wear to a holiday party” I had a great time with this one, because its totally out of the box for me. After completing the card, our next challenge is to find a picture of myself as a youngser or someone in my family.  Of course, I just read it. So, I will look and add to this post. Please visit the other DDD’s blog you will love each and everyone.  I will be back to add to my list.

DDD Challenge

Hi everyone, this is a triple challenge for me.  1. DDD. Challenge, our hostess sent us a fantastic kit.  Fall is my favorite time of the year and she provided us with so many goodies.  But my favorite is the Stampin”  Up image.  (Isn’t he cute)!!!!!!!!!

2. Challenge #2: I’m not a cook and our challenge is to list a favorite fall dish.  I had to call my DD, and she informed me of the corn dogs we made for my Adult Literacy Group last year. (I think you have an idea who actually made it).  It was a total success, I actually made it for my friends.

3. Challenge #3 I do not know how to add links at this moment for my peers, this is a new blog for me. I’m putting one of our challengers to see if this works and then I will add accordingly.  Thank you for your patience.

one egg, beaten
1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. cornmeal
1/4 tsp. tabasco sauce ( more or less depending on taste)
2 large tablespoons of finely chopped onions
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Mix together all ingredients. Dip wieners in the batter and fry in hot oil until brown.
