Crafters of Faith

March Crafters of Faith.

This month is Psalm 40:3 NLT

“He has given me a new song to sing”

Our host wanted us to create a card with a sunset or sunrise.

Every time I visit the Miniature Museum in Tucson, I sat outside at dusk, and the sky was blue, mountains in the background, and the Saguaro (cactus), created a beautiful picture of peace and wonder.

I tried to recreate this, its not perfect, but I love it.

I’m late as always, but I will do better next month, which is only two days away.

I received October Afternoon Paper and an October Afternoon stamp.  I really, really love it.

I’m three cards a head for Christmas.

Punch Weekly Challenge

Sama has started a weekly challenge within her Punch Swap, each week one of the swappers will come up with a Punch Art Challenge and we will make a card within 72 hours. Oh, I looked at the challenge presented by a talented swappers and I said no way could I Joan R. Barnes come up with something.

So here is my FIRST attempt at Punch Art.

February DDD Challenge

I love, love, love the image that Carol sent us this month. Just look at the happy couple, its makes you smile with joy. This is a Mo Manning Digital Image of Young love. I love the card so much, did I say that twice.
We received such goodies in our package: ribbon, Mark Richards Crystal Hearts, K & Co. felt flowers, recolletion pearls, and ribbon flowers. However, I have enough for a second card, which I will make later.

Punch Class

I took a Punch Art Class at Creative Cuts and Crafts in Elmhurst. I hate to admit it, but I had a great time.  The first one (picture is a little blur which is my favorite is the Chicken.  I love the feet, which was made using a snowflake punch, and the beak  from the tip of a flower.

The second one is a puppy, using a Heart Punch for the face and ears.

The third one, the Leprachurn, made using a small tag punch for the hat. and for the black band a word punch

The Fourth:  Pot of Gold the gold using a 1/4 of a scalloped circle and a hole punch for the moneu

The Rabbit:  An oval punch for the ears, isn’t he cute:

More punches were used but I had to tell you how something so simple created these four tags.
